Does your child require 1:1 individual therapy to develop their skill level? PACT ABA is able to offer focused ABA treatment options.
Focused ABA treatment refers to individualized programming provided by the therapist directly to the child for a limited number of behavioral targets. This time-bound therapeutic programming allows the therapist to focus on the family's prioritized goals.
Focused ABA treatment is appropriate for children who need treatment only for a limited number of key functional skills or have such acute problem behavior that its treatment should be the priority. Examples of areas of need typically observed in children include, but are not limited to, early communication training, establishing instruction-following, pre-academic learning, social communication skills, toilet training, sleep hygiene, self-care skills, safety skills, and independent leisure skills.
Focused ABA treatment can help with challenging behaviors. These plans may involve increasing socially appropriate behavior (for example, increasing social initiations) while reducing problem behavior (for example, yelling). Even when the reduction of problem behavior is the primary goal, it is critical to also address increases in appropriate alternative behavior. Individuals who need to acquire skills (for example, communication, tolerating change in environments and activities, self-help, social skills) are also appropriate for Focused ABA treatment.
We offer in-home and telemedicine focused programming. To qualify for telemedicine programming, your child must demonstrate key prerequisite skills for engaging with a therapist through the computer.
